Intra-College Speech Competition 2024

We are pleased to announce that a Speech Competition will be held on September 5, 2024 (20 Bhadra 2081). This event aims to encourage students to develop their public speaking skills and express their thoughts.

Interested students should submit their names at the Front Desk by September 3, 2024 (18 Bhadra 2081).

Details of the Competition:

• Date: September 5, 2024
• Time: 10:00 AM onwards
• Venue: Trinity Futsal Court
• Participants: Open to all students of [Grade XI, XII & A Levels]

Topics:

The participants are supposed to prepare their speech on ONE of the topics given below:

• Pandemics and Global Economy
• Industrialization and Global Warming
• Artificial Intelligence as New Normal
• LGBTI and Human Rights
• Politics, Employment and Entrepreneurship

         

RULES FOR SPEECH COMPETITION

• The speech will be judged by the jury on the basis of content, delivery, language, presentation, creativity, and originality, in accordance with the prescribed rules.
• Each participant will have a total of FIVE minutes to deliver their speech.
• A warning bell will sound after FOUR minutes.
• Exceeding the time limit will result in a deduction of points.
• All speeches must be delivered either in English or Nepali.
• Students are not permitted to use audio-visual technology during the speech (e.g., PowerPoint, DVDs).
• The use of offensive language or derogatory remarks is strictly prohibited.
• Notes may be used, but excessive reliance on notes will result in a lower score.
• Prizes will be awarded to the top three speakers in both categories (English & Nepali) with certificates and medals.
