Intra-College Indoor Cricket Tournament 2022

This is to inform all the students that the Intra-College Indoor Cricket Tournament – Grade XI is commencing from Saturday, 12 November 2022 (Kartik 26, 2079). All interested students are requested to register their names at the Reception by Thursday, 10 November 2022 (Kartik 24, 2079).

Note – Only Grade XI students are allowed to participate in this tournament.
RULES & REGULATIONS
FIELDING TEAM
- A game is played between two teams, each with a maximum of 8 players
- No team can play with less than 6 players
- A scheduled game must proceed if a minimum of 6 players for each team are present.
- To take part in a match, a player must be able to bat and bowl, except in the case of the Substitutes Rule.
- A team must nominate a captain for each game. A key role of the captain is to encourage their team to display a high level of fair play and sportsmanship.
THE GAME
- The game consists of 1 batting and 1 bowling innings per team.
- Each innings consists of 10 overs. For simplicity in these rules, all references will be to 6 ball overs.
- Each player must bowl 1 over, except in the case of the Player Short/ Substitutes/ Injured Players
- A bowler must not bowl 2 consecutive overs. The fielding team will be penalized 5 runs for each over offended.
- A delivery commences from the moment a bowler (with the ball in their hand) starts their run up and continues until the same time of the next delivery.
- No batter may bat more than once, except in the case of the Player Short/ Substitutes/ Injured Players Rule.
- A team is not allowed to declare an innings closed.
- This is a single elimination tournament, in which the losing team will be eliminated and the winning team will progress to the next round of pl

- The participants are requested to be in time for the competition.
- If any participant is late/absent than the opponent will be given a walkover.
- All knock out matches will be 5-5 over’s.
- Dress Code- Track, T-shirt & sports shoes
- Teams should manage the playing equipments (Bat & Gloves) by themselves.
