Club Membership Selection Process
Whether it is the SciTech-&-Mgmt Competition and Poetry Competition or sports competitions, events, and activities, the College utilizes its Clubs to do all these kinds of work and mobilizes its students to manage all those events themselves as far as feasible. Every member gets some appreciation if not an award for his or her hard work.
Trinity has ten clubs promoting and managing all ECA work. Each Club is responsible for its predefined task and performs in a manner that every member of that Club is extremely work-oriented and sincere. We have been noting with ever-growing delight that generally all our club members are really enthusiastic and persevering.
While selecting club members there are certain steps that need to be followed. The process is:
• Shortlisting of applicants for each Club/Committee based on their interests and experience
• Formation of separate discussion groups containing a maximum of 10 students by random selection
• Free group discussion among these shortlisted candidates
• Observed group discussion in the presence of a Facilitator from the faculty or staff
• Selection of three members from each group
• Nomination of a maximum of two members by the Facilitator
• Personal interviews ofthe candidates selected from the group discussion • Final selection of club members on the basis of personal interviews
Thereafter, the process for selecting the posts of club office-bearers is:
• Selection of President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Treasurer from among the club members in the presence of the Teacher Moderator
After the selection process, each management team – its Office Holders (often with a College faculty or staff member) from the College – of a Club holds a proper meeting for the session agenda and makes a plan for the ongoing/new session.
Becoming a club member at Trinity is an opportunity to learn much, grow in a holistic sense, and co-exist harmoniously together!
